anyBOUND Partners With Travel Giant JTB to Launch Crypto Loyalty Rewards

anyBOUND, in partnership with Japan’s largest travel company JTB, has launched a new service to provide travel-based rewards and VIP retreats for cryptocurrency companies. The initiative aims to address the industry's persistent challenge of user retention by offering real-world experiences as an alternative to purely financial incentives.
Shifting from Airdrops to Experiences
The service targets a common issue in the crypto sector where user acquisition campaigns, such as airdrops and token rewards, often fail to create long-term loyalty. According to the announcement on August 27, while financial incentives attract users, engagement often drops once the campaigns conclude. anyBOUND seeks to apply a loyalty model proven in the financial services and airline industries, which use exclusive experiences to build lasting customer relationships.
This approach allows crypto exchanges, wallets, and token projects to convert on-chain activity into tangible rewards like travel and dining, creating a more memorable connection with their user base.
Leveraging JTB's Global Network
The collaboration leverages the extensive network of JTB, a company founded in 1912 with deep experience in corporate travel and hospitality. The service provides crypto firms with two primary offerings:
Ad- Travel Rewards: Integratable prizes for campaigns and loyalty programs, including curated Japan travel packages, stays in historic castles, and access to exclusive restaurants.
- Custom Retreats: Tailor-made trips for VIP users, top token holders, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in Japan and other international destinations.
JTB's infrastructure includes 354 locations in Japan and 152 overseas locations. The group managed more than 5,100 MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) projects in fiscal year 2025, providing a strong operational foundation for the new service.
Market Context
The launch follows a pilot phase where anyBOUND supported several crypto projects with retreats and reward programs. The move reflects a growing need within the digital asset industry for more sustainable user engagement strategies beyond speculative incentives.
"What we consistently heard was that financial incentives alone weren’t building the relationships these projects wanted with their communities," said Yohei Shiobara, Founder & CEO at anyBOUND, in a statement. He added that the partnership focuses on "turning on-chain activity into experiences people actually remember and talk about."
