American Bitcoin Boosts Holdings to 8,300 BTC in Strategic Push

American Bitcoin (ABTC), a Nasdaq-100 component, has increased its corporate treasury to 8,300 Bitcoin and expanded its mining fleet to nearly 90,000 machines. The update underscores the company's aggressive strategy to build one of the largest publicly-traded Bitcoin reserves through its large-scale mining operations.
Holdings Grow Amid Operational Expansion
The new figures were disclosed by co-founder Eric Trump on the social media platform X on September 3, 2026, according to a report citing Woofun AI. The current holding of 8,300 BTC represents a significant increase from the approximately 8,000 BTC the company held at the end of June.
This growth in reserves comes as the company also set a new quarterly production record. The consistent accumulation highlights a strategy centered on leveraging its mining capabilities to acquire Bitcoin at a cost basis below prevailing market prices.
Mining Efficiency and Financial Performance
American Bitcoin has maintained strong profitability despite increased industry competition following the 2024 Bitcoin halving event, which reduced mining rewards. The company's performance is driven by a combination of efficient hardware and effective management of electricity costs.
AdAccording to data compiled by Woofun AI, the company's business model yields impressive financial metrics:
- Gross Margin: The firm has sustained a gross margin of nearly 50%, with Q1 at 52% and Q2 at approximately 49%.
- Q1 Performance: The company mined 817 BTC and added over 1,600 BTC to its strategic reserves during the first quarter.
Corporate Strategy and Market Vision
To support its growth and meet exchange requirements, American Bitcoin executed a 1-for-15 reverse stock split in July. The company has also entered into a strategic partnership with Hut 8 (HUT) to secure access to large-scale mining facilities.
Co-founder Eric Trump emphasized that the company's priority is long-term infrastructure investment over short-term stock price movements. He has also publicly advocated for the United States to establish a leadership role in the global Bitcoin economy, positioning American Bitcoin as a key player in that strategic vision.
