AI Infrastructure Provider Crusoe Valued at $30.9 Billion After $3.9 Billion Funding Round

AI infrastructure provider Crusoe announced on Thursday it has raised $3.9 billion in a new funding round, achieving a post-money valuation of $30.9 billion. The significant capital injection highlights the surging investor appetite for companies that provide the specialized computing power required for advanced artificial intelligence workloads.
Funding Details
The Series F round was co-led by Atreides Management, Mubadala Capital, and Valor Equity Partners, according to the company. Other significant participants in the round included both new and existing investors such as Founders Fund, Nvidia, and the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA).
Crusoe stated that the proceeds will be used to expand its current programs and finance the construction of its proprietary "AI factories." The Denver-based company, which began in 2018 with a focus on cryptocurrency before pivoting to AI, is part of a new class of specialized "neoclouds" that cater to the high-demand AI market.
AdMarket Context
This funding round is one of the largest in a sector seeing massive capital inflows. The intense competition for AI computing resources was recently underscored when Crux AI, a venture from Blackstone and Alphabet, secured a $22 billion chip loan on top of an initial $5 billion equity investment from Blackstone.
Crusoe reported it has secured significant business, with more than $140 billion in total contracted value. The company also has over 6 gigawatts of contracted power capacity, with 1 gigawatt already operational, reflecting the scale required to train and deploy large-scale AI models.
