Zurn Water Solutions Stock Rises on Deal to Acquire Intellihot

Summary
Shares of Zurn Water Solutions climbed after the company announced a definitive agreement to acquire commercial tankless water heater maker Intellihot, Inc., marking its entry into the water heating market.
Shares of Zurn Water Solutions (NYSE: ZWS) gained 3.1% in pre-market trading Monday following the announcement of a definitive agreement to acquire Intellihot, Inc., a privately held manufacturer of commercial tankless water heaters.
Strategic Expansion into Water Heating
The deal marks Zurn's first entry into the adjacent water heating market. According to a Form 8-K filing dated July 20, 2026, the transaction is expected to close early in the third quarter. Intellihot serves clients in the healthcare, education, and hospitality sectors and is projected to achieve approximately $37 million in net sales for 2026.
Zurn Chairman and CEO Todd A. Adams said the acquisition responds to demand from "building owners [for] integrated solutions from partners like Zurn Elkay and Intellihot that they know and trust." The move expands Zurn's addressable market by integrating high-efficiency water heating into its portfolio of water management solutions.
AdMarket and Analyst Reaction
Investor optimism was reflected in the pre-market stock rally. The move was also supported by a constructive broader market environment, with major U.S. indices showing gains ahead of the opening bell.
In an analyst note, Stifel maintained its "Buy" rating on Zurn's stock but trimmed its price target to $56 from $59. This adjustment suggests continued confidence in the company's long-term strategy while recalibrating near-term valuation ahead of Zurn's second-quarter earnings call, scheduled for July 28, 2026.
