Voltalia Q2 Revenue Jumps 35% on New Projects and Strong Energy Sales

French renewable energy producer Voltalia reported a 35% increase in second-quarter revenue to €198 million ($225.3 million), driven by the commissioning of new projects and strong performance in its energy sales division.
Revenue Drivers
The company's results were primarily fueled by its Energy Sales segment, where revenue climbed 40% to €118.2 million. Voltalia attributed this growth to a combination of factors, including newly commissioned capacity in South Africa and Uzbekistan and favorable price effects.
A significant one-off item also contributed to the quarter's performance: a €17 million payment as compensation for a production curtailment in Brazil. The company also reported unspecified growth across its services businesses during the period.
AdUpdated Capacity Outlook
Despite the strong revenue figures, Voltalia slightly adjusted its operational forecast for the year. The company lowered its year-end installed capacity target to 3.6 gigawatts (GW), down from a previous forecast of approximately 3.7 GW.
According to the report, this revision reflects a more selective approach the company is taking toward launching new projects. However, Voltalia reaffirmed its guidance for 2026, signaling confidence in its longer-term strategy.
