Vita Coco Boosts 2026 Forecast After Q2 Sales Surge 28%

Summary
The Vita Coco Company (NASDAQ:COCO) raised its full-year 2026 financial guidance after reporting a 28% year-over-year sales increase in the second quarter, sending its shares sharply higher.
Shares of The Vita Coco Company (NASDAQ:COCO) jumped 7.7% in early trading after the beverage maker reported second-quarter results that surpassed analyst expectations and raised its financial outlook for the full year 2026, citing strong consumer demand and improved profitability.
Quarterly Performance Exceeds Expectations
The company announced strong top- and bottom-line growth for the second quarter, driven by robust sales of its flagship coconut water and private label products.
- Net Sales: Reached $216 million, a 28% increase year-over-year and above the consensus analyst estimate of $210.64 million.
- Adjusted EBITDA: Grew to $67.23 million, significantly beating the average estimate of $45.11 million from nine analysts.
- Net Income: The company posted a net income of $49 million for the quarter.
Sales of the core Vita Coco Coconut Water brand rose 21%, which co-founder Michael Kirban attributed to higher household penetration and increased average consumption. The company also noted that growth in private label shipments, driven by new distribution, contributed to the strong performance.
Margin Expansion and Growth Drivers
AdA key highlight of the quarter was a significant improvement in profitability. Gross margin expanded to 49%, up from 36% in the same period last year.
The company attributed the margin increase to a combination of factors, including tariff refunds, higher net pricing, and lower costs for ocean freight and finished goods. These positive effects were partially offset by an increase in domestic logistics expenses.
Upgraded Full-Year Outlook
Based on the strong quarterly performance and positive business trends, Vita Coco raised its guidance for the full year 2026. The company stated the increase reflects continued momentum in both its branded and private label segments.
- Net Sales: Now projected to be between $790 million and $805 million.
- Adjusted EBITDA: Expected to be in the range of $154 million to $161 million.
- Gross Margin: Forecast to be approximately 40% for the full year.
