Vicor Shares Rise After Company Doubles Q3 Revenue Growth Forecast

Summary
Vicor Corporation raised its third-quarter revenue guidance, citing new licensing royalties for its power delivery technology, which sent its stock up 6% in after-hours trading.
Shares of Vicor Corporation (NASDAQ: VICR) jumped 6% in after-hours trading on Monday after the power systems company significantly raised its revenue forecast for the third quarter of 2026.
Revised Guidance
In an announcement on September 21, Vicor boosted its guidance for third-quarter sequential revenue growth from nearly 10% to more than 20%. The company attributed the upward revision to royalties from a recently signed non-exclusive license for its patented Vertical Power Delivery (VPD) technology.
CEO Commentary on Licensing
AdCEO Patrizio Vinciarelli stated that four leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and hyperscalers have now secured licenses for Vicor's power system technology. He noted that interest from other firms grew after their computing systems faced potential import bans over patent infringement.
"Unlicensed hyperscalers first reached out after their computing systems were banned from importation because of infringing NBMs; and, upon recognition that computing systems using VPD could also be banned," Vinciarelli said. He added that suppliers who disregard patent rights will "continue to cause supply disruption to their customers and be liable for monetary damages to Vicor."
