US Energy Firms Set New Record for Petroleum Product Exports

United States energy firms exported a record 8.73 million barrels per day (bpd) of total petroleum products during the week ending July 3. The data was released Wednesday in the weekly Petroleum Status Report by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
This new weekly figure surpasses the previous record of 8.22 million bpd, which was established in early May of this year, according to the EIA report.
The same report highlighted other significant developments in the U.S. energy sector. Total U.S. crude oil stocks, a figure that includes the nation's Strategic Petroleum Reserve, fell to their lowest level since May 1984.
AdAdditionally, the EIA noted that distillate stocks on the East Coast dropped to their lowest point since May 2022. Meanwhile, weekly domestic field production of crude oil increased, reaching its highest level since a record was set in November 2025.
