Turkish Stocks Close Lower as BIST 100 Index Drops 0.77%

Turkey's primary stock market index, the BIST 100, finished Thursday's trading session in negative territory, closing down 0.77%. The decline was driven by widespread selling pressure across several key industries, according to data from the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
Sector and Market Breadth
The day's losses were most pronounced in the Metal Products & Machinery, Information Technology, and Leasing & Factoring sectors. Market breadth confirmed the negative sentiment, with falling stocks significantly outnumbering advancing ones by a margin of 411 to 216, while 20 stocks closed unchanged.
Among the session's worst-performing blue-chip stocks were:
- Odine Solutions Teknoloji (ODINE), which fell 9.96%.
- Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik (PASEU), declining 9.95%.
- Emlak Konut (EKGYO), which ended the day down 7.47%.
AdIn contrast, a few companies bucked the downward trend. Notable gainers included Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman (KTLEV), up 9.99%, and Grainturk Holding (GRTHO), which added 9.97%.
