Background

TrueDAO, a project developing artificial intelligence-driven decentralized financial infrastructure, announced it has closed a $10 million strategic funding round. The investment was led by Brevan Howard Digital, with participation from other prominent venture capital firms.

Funding Details and Key Investors

The financing was led by Brevan Howard Digital, the digital asset arm of the global macro hedge fund, according to a July 10 announcement distributed by Chainwire. Other participants in the round included Zee Prime Capital and Jump Capital.

This injection of capital marks a significant milestone for TrueDAO, which stated it began developing its core protocol architecture a year ago. The project aims to address challenges in the crypto industry related to yield sustainability, risk management, and reserve transparency.

Strategic Use of Capital

TrueDAO stated the proceeds will be allocated across several key areas to accelerate the development and security of its platform. The company outlined five primary focuses for the new capital:

  • Core Protocol Development: Refining smart contracts and protocol modules.
  • AI-Powered Risk Management: Building systems for AI-driven risk monitoring and stress testing.
  • Security and Audits: Implementing independent security audits, real-time monitoring, and bug bounty programs.
  • Compliance: Advancing legal and compliance assessments across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ecosystem Growth: Releasing developer documentation and expanding partnerships.

Project Goals and Market Context

Unlike single-application blockchain projects, TrueDAO aims to build a modular financial infrastructure designed to serve other ecosystem projects with liquidity management, risk alerts, and governance support. The platform is being built using smart contracts, on-chain reserves, and community governance.

SoLee, Head of Marketing at TrueDAO, emphasized a focus on fundamentals over funding. "While capital accelerates development, it cannot replace security, transparent governance, and genuine value creation," SoLee said in a statement. "We remain committed to building an on-chain financial infrastructure that is auditable, verifiable, and governable."

Following the funding, the project plans to advance its testnet launch, complete security audits, and release developer tools, with operational and reserve data to be disclosed in phases.
