Despite the index reaching a new peak, market breadth was negative, indicating the rally was not broad-based. Data from the Taiwan Stock Exchange showed that falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 571 to 429, with 119 issues ending the session unchanged.

- Top Decliners: On the other end, Onano Industrial Corp (TW:6405) fell 9.98%, Microtek International Inc (TW:2305) dropped 9.90%, and InnoCare Optoelectronics Corp (TW:6861) declined 6.86%.
