Background

Streamex Corp. (NASDAQ: STEX) has made its tokenized, yield-bearing gold security available through traditional brokerage accounts, a move aimed at bridging the gap between digital assets and mainstream wealth management. The offering, accessible to accredited investors, was enabled through a partnership with broker-dealer Siebert Financial, according to a June 29 announcement.

Tokenized Gold Enters Brokerage Accounts

The collaboration brings together Streamex as the issuer, Siebert Financial for distribution, and the regulated digital-securities platform tZERO for custody. Siebert, a FINRA-member broker, oversees approximately $20 billion in client assets.

This structure allows Siebert's financial advisors to offer the `$GLDY` security to eligible clients directly, removing the need for them to set up crypto wallets or have specialized blockchain knowledge. The initiative seeks to integrate a digital asset into the conventional investment portfolio alongside stocks and bonds.

A Yield-Bearing Gold Product

The `$GLDY` security is designed to provide exposure to the $13 trillion global gold market while offering features unique to tokenized assets. Its primary feature is an annual yield of up to 3.5%, distributed monthly to holders in the form of additional gold.

Streamex states the yield is generated by lending the underlying physical gold to commercial users, such as jewelers and refiners. This model contrasts with traditional gold investments, which often involve storage costs for physical bullion or management fees for exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

Broader Strategy and Market Context

This development is the latest step in Streamex's plan to expand access to tokenized commodities. The company launched `$GLDY` in February 2026 and enabled 24/7 secondary trading on the Solana-based decentralized exchange Orca in May.

"Putting $GLDY into a brokerage account is a major step toward that, because it meets traditional investors exactly where they already are," said Henry McPhie, Co-Founder and CEO of Streamex. The company noted that the market for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) on blockchains like Solana has seen a sharp increase in volume in 2026.

For now, the `$GLDY` security remains a regulated product offered to verified accredited investors under Rule 506(c) of Regulation D. Streamex has indicated that it plans to develop a retail-focused version of its digital gold product in the future, which would be accessible to a wider audience through decentralized exchanges.
