Robinhood Unveils AI Tools, 24/7 Trading, and New Derivatives

Summary
The online brokerage announced a suite of new products aimed at active traders at its annual summit, a move that prompted Deutsche Bank to reiterate its Buy rating on the company's stock.
Robinhood Markets announced a significant expansion of its product offerings, including new artificial intelligence tools and around-the-clock equity trading, at its annual "Engines of Creation" summit this week. The new features are designed to attract and retain more active traders by providing them with tools previously more common in institutional settings.
New Product Slate
In a presentation led by CEO Vlad Tenev, Robinhood detailed several key launches aimed at its U.S. customer base. The company's new product lineup includes:
- Robinhood Agents: An AI-native experience designed to assist users.
- 24/7 Trading: The brokerage is expanding its equity trading to operate continuously, including on weekends.
- New Derivatives: The company is introducing perpetual futures and company financial KPI event contracts for U.S. customers.
These initiatives represent a strategic push to offer more sophisticated products and services, moving beyond the platform's origins in basic stock and options trading.
Deutsche Bank Maintains Positive Outlook
AdFollowing the event, Deutsche Bank maintained its Buy rating and $134 price target on Robinhood (HOOD) stock. In a note to clients, the bank's analysts described the launches as a strategic effort to bring "institutional-grade tools to Robinhood’s retail customer base."
The bank views the announcements as evidence of Robinhood's accelerating product development speed. Analysts noted the company's continued growth across artificial intelligence, prediction markets, cryptocurrency, and broader market access.
Market Implications
While Deutsche Bank sees the potential for these new products to increase user engagement and capture a larger share of customer trading activity, it cautioned that the initiatives will "require time to reach scale." The bank did not change its financial estimates for Robinhood following the summit, suggesting a long-term view on the impact of these developments.
The expansion into more complex financial instruments like perpetual futures and 24/7 trading signals Robinhood's ambition to compete for a more active and demanding segment of the retail investor market.
