PATEO CONNECT+ Wins First Electric Motorcycle Contract for Smart Interaction System

PATEO CONNECT+, a provider of intelligent vehicle systems, announced it has secured its first supply contract from a leading Chinese manufacturer of high-end electric two-wheelers. The deal marks the company's strategic expansion from the passenger car market into the rapidly growing premium motorcycle segment.
New Supplier Agreement
In a voluntary announcement on September 8, PATEO stated it received a formal nomination letter to become a supplier for a new premium model from the unnamed manufacturer. Under the agreement, PATEO will provide its complete proprietary smart interaction system, which it describes as a "talking vehicle interaction system."
This contract represents a significant milestone for the company, extending its established technology from four-wheel passenger vehicles to the two-wheeler market for the first time. By securing a high-end client for its initial entry, PATEO establishes a strong foothold in the segment.
Leveraging Automotive-Grade Technology
The core of the offering is a system based on PATEO's self-developed solid-state acoustic field technology. Instead of traditional speakers, it uses ultra-thin, automotive-grade piezoelectric transducers that cause the vehicle's external body panels to generate sound. This design offers significant advantages in volume and power consumption while being waterproof, dustproof, and resistant to extreme temperatures—critical features for motorcycles.
AdFor the rider, the system is designed to provide a range of advanced features, including:
- 360° surround sound output for entertainment and alerts.
- Personalized voice interaction for controls.
- Acoustic warnings for road hazards.
- Real-time vibration sensing for potential collisions or scratches.
Strategic Market Expansion
The move is part of PATEO's broader strategy to apply its integrated technology stack—spanning software, hardware, chips, and cloud services—across multiple vehicle types. By adapting its mature automotive systems for a new platform rather than developing a separate product line, the company aims to efficiently broaden the commercial application of its existing research and development.
The announcement highlighted the growing demand for intelligent upgrades in the two-wheeler industry, as high-end motorcycles evolve from utilitarian transport to technology-focused leisure products. While smart features are becoming standard in cars, their adoption in premium motorcycles is still in its early stages, creating a market opportunity for experienced automotive tech suppliers. PATEO aims to secure a first-mover advantage in this emerging space.
