Otis CEO Judy Marks to Retire in 2027; Board Initiates Successor Search

Otis Worldwide (OTIS) announced Tuesday that Chief Executive Officer Judy Marks plans to retire, capping a nine-year tenure with the elevator manufacturer. Marks, who was instrumental in navigating the company's transition to a stand-alone public entity, will continue to lead the company through July 31, 2027.
Leadership Transition Details
The company's board of directors has formed a committee of independent directors to oversee the succession process. The search for a new CEO has officially commenced, with the board retaining the executive search firm Spencer Stuart to assist in the process.
According to the announcement, the committee will evaluate both internal and external candidates to identify the next leader. Marks will remain in her role as CEO until her retirement date or until a successor is appointed. Should a replacement be named before July 2027, she will transition to a senior adviser role to ensure a smooth handover.
