The session's worst performers on the OBX index included industrial and consumer goods heavyweights. Key decliners were:
- Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY): fell 3.87% to trade at 79.44.
- Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG): declined 2.63% to end at 311.50.
- Orkla ASA (OL:ORK): was down 2.10% to close at 90.85.
Pockets of Strength
AdDespite the broader market decline, a few companies posted gains. The top performers on the Oslo OBX were led by shipping and technology firms:

- Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD): added 1.81% to end at 186.10.

Commodities and Currencies
In commodity markets, energy prices moved higher. Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.05% to $92.27 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.27% to $101.24 a barrel. Gold futures for December delivery also saw a modest increase of 0.20% to trade at $4,195.25 a troy ounce.
In currency trading, the Norwegian krone weakened slightly against the U.S. dollar, with the USD/NOK pair rising 0.18% to 9.63. Meanwhile, the krone strengthened against the euro, as the EUR/NOK pair fell 0.40% to 10.84. The US Dollar Index Futures, which measures the greenback against a basket of other major currencies, was up 0.47%.
