NWF Group PLC posted a modest increase in revenue and operating profit for the fiscal year ended May 31, 2026, navigating a mixed trading environment across its divisions. The UK specialist distributor of fuel, food, and animal feed also announced its 15th consecutive annual dividend increase, signaling confidence despite market headwinds.
Annual Results Breakdown
The company reported the following key figures for its 2026 fiscal year:
- Revenue: £920.30 million, a 1.9% increase year-over-year.
- Headline Operating Profit: £16.80 million, up 3.1%.
- Pretax Profit: £12.5 million.
- Headline Earnings Per Share (EPS): £0.18, a decline of 3.2%.
- Net Debt: Stood at £60.50 million at the end of the period.
Reflecting the profitable year, NWF's board proposed a 3.6% dividend increase, continuing its long-term track record of returning value to shareholders.
Mixed Divisional Performance
AdThe group's overall growth was primarily driven by its Food division, which saw stronger results from increased customer demand, higher storage utilization, and operational improvements. This performance helped to offset significant challenges in the Fuels division.
The Fuels segment faced headwinds from suppressed heating oil demand in the first half of the year and oil price volatility in the final quarter. The company cited ongoing market uncertainty related to the Middle East conflict as a contributing factor. Meanwhile, the Feeds division delivered stable profits, with robust demand in the first half being balanced by the impact of lower milk prices and softer market conditions in the second half.
Outlook and Strategy
Looking ahead, NWF Group stated that it expects its performance in the current fiscal year to remain broadly consistent with the results from fiscal 2026. The company confirmed it will continue to pursue growth through a combination of acquisitions, organic investment, and business improvement initiatives across its operations.
