NOWPayments Launches Zero-Fee System to Eliminate Business Crypto Payout Costs

Crypto payment gateway NOWPayments has launched a new payout infrastructure that it claims eliminates network fees for businesses by replacing traditional wallet-based transfers with an email-based system. The move challenges the standard industry practice where businesses incur blockchain fees for processing mass cryptocurrency payments.
According to NOWPayments CEO Kate Lifshits, the goal is to remove unnecessary costs and complexity associated with digital asset disbursements. "The market has spent years competing over who can charge less per payout," Lifshits stated in the July 10 announcement. "We are asking a more important question: why should businesses pay per payout at all?"
A New Payout Model
The company's new solution allows businesses to send crypto payments using only a recipient's email address as the destination. This process bypasses the need to collect, validate, and manage individual cryptocurrency wallet addresses, which NOWPayments identifies as a major operational cost for companies processing payouts at scale.
Recipients receive access to their funds automatically, while the sending business avoids blockchain confirmation delays and transaction fees. The system is designed for companies that frequently make mass payments, including:
- Affiliate and cashback platforms
- Creator economies and gaming companies
- Marketplaces and payroll providers
AdTargeting Operational Inefficiencies
NOWPayments argues that its email-based infrastructure can significantly reduce operational costs beyond just network fees. The company highlights benefits such as zero service fees, under-one-second delivery, fewer failed payouts, and lower customer support overhead.
The potential savings for a business depend on its payout volume, the blockchain networks used, and the specific cryptocurrencies involved. To help companies quantify the impact, NOWPayments has released a "Zero-Fee Crypto Payout Savings Calculator" on its website.
"The future of crypto payouts is not wallet-to-wallet. It is person-to-person: identified by email, delivered instantly and free to move inside the ecosystem," Lifshits said. "Anything more complicated is legacy infrastructure."
