Nokia Shares Rise Over 6% on Launch of 'Mobile Core Early Access' Program

Nokia (NYSE: NOK) shares surged more than 6% in early trading Tuesday after the telecommunications equipment company announced the launch of its "Mobile Core Early Access" program, a new initiative aimed at accelerating the adoption of advanced network technologies.
Program Details
According to a company announcement on September 8, the program provides a real-time, hosted environment for global telecom operators and enterprises to explore the software driving next-generation network connectivity for the AI era. Nokia stated it is the first program of its kind to offer a live, end-to-end setting where customers can combine wireless and end-user devices to test the latest mobile core network capabilities and use cases.
The initiative is designed to shorten the path for customers from initial technology awareness to evidence-based planning, validation, and full-scale adoption.
Strategic Rationale
AdCompany leadership emphasized the need to give clients hands-on experience as technology evolves rapidly. "The innovation cycle in mobile technology continues to accelerate, and operators need more than just presentations and demos to make confident technology choices," said Kal De, Senior Vice President of Nokia's Core Networks division.
De added that the program offers a "pragmatic way to experience the latest mobile core innovations in a live environment." By providing earlier access to its technology, Nokia aims to help customers reduce uncertainty and move more quickly from exploration to deployment.
Market Reaction
Investors responded positively to the announcement. In early trading on Tuesday, shares of Nokia were up over 6% to $10.67.
