Netskope Insiders Acquire $7.5 Million in Stock Amid Flurry of Tech Executive Sales

Summary
Insiders at cybersecurity firm Netskope Inc. made significant share purchases, according to recent SEC filings, while executives at Broadcom, Arista Networks, and Lam Research sold substantial holdings.
Insiders at Netskope Inc., including a director and a major institutional shareholder, purchased a combined total of more than $7.5 million in company stock, according to regulatory filings disclosed Tuesday. The substantial buying activity provides a sharp contrast to a wave of selling by executives across several other major technology companies.
Significant Insider Buys
Two separate parties at Netskope reported large acquisitions of Class A Common Stock. The purchases were made on July 10, 2026, at weighted average prices between $12.255 and $12.4214 per share.
- William J.G. Griffith, a director and ten percent owner, acquired 306,399 shares for approximately $3.77 million.
- ICONIQ Strategic Partners VIII Holdings, L.P., an affiliated ten percent owner, also purchased shares for a total of approximately $3.77 million.
Other notable insider buying activity disclosed Tuesday included smaller purchases at DLH Holdings Corp. (DLHC) by a significant shareholder, Peoples Financial Corp (PFBX) by investment firm Stilwell Value LLC, and Butler National Corp (BUKS) by a director.
Tech Executives Divest Holdings
In contrast to the buying at Netskope, executives at several large technology and healthcare firms sold significant blocks of stock. Many of these sales were conducted under pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plans, which allow insiders to sell shares at predetermined times to avoid accusations of trading on non-public information.
AdMajor sales included:
- Arista Networks, Inc. (ANET): CEO and Chairperson Jayshree Ullal sold 234,578 shares for a total of approximately $43.9 million.
- Broadcom Inc. (AVGO): The chief legal and corporate affairs officer, Mark David Brazeal, sold 25,000 shares for over $10 million.
- Everpure, Inc.: Chief Visionary Officer John Colgrove sold 100,000 shares through trusts for nearly $8 million.
- Lam Research Corp. (LRCX): Director Abhijit Y. Talwalkar sold 18,282 shares for approximately $6.1 million.
- Alignment Healthcare, Inc. (ALHC): Chief Executive Officer John E. Kao sold 298,000 shares for a total of $5.92 million.
Market Interpretation
Investors closely monitor insider transactions as a potential indicator of executive sentiment. Substantial open-market purchases, like those at Netskope, are often interpreted as a bullish signal, suggesting that company leaders believe the stock's future prospects are strong.
Conversely, insider sales are more complex. While they can precede a stock's decline, they do not necessarily signal a lack of confidence. Insiders often sell shares for reasons unrelated to company performance, such as for personal financial planning, portfolio diversification, or to cover tax obligations. The use of Rule 10b5-1 plans in many of Tuesday's largest sales underscores this distinction.
