The company's performance was driven by a significant uptick in business activity. Navan reported that its gross booking volume grew 45% in the second quarter, while payment volume increased 34%. In an interview with Reuters, CFO Aurélien Nolf stated that demand for corporate travel has been "very, very strong."

Nolf attributed the growth to several factors, including increased travel by sales teams and engineers related to corporate investments in artificial intelligence. A busy calendar of industrial conferences and a rise in cross-border dealmaking have also supported higher booking volumes.

Strategic Acquisition Announced

Separately, Navan announced it would acquire BoomPop, an AI-powered platform for event management, for an undisclosed sum. The deal was valued at up to $95 million in cash and stock, according to a person familiar with the matter. This move signals Navan's intent to expand its service offerings within the corporate events space.
