Meta, AMD Lead Tech Gains While ServiceTitan Plunges on Weak Guidance

Mega-cap technology stocks including Meta Platforms and Advanced Micro Devices posted significant gains in Wednesday's trading, while other firms saw their valuations fall sharply in response to earnings reports and forward-looking guidance.
Corporate News Fuels Major Movers
Company-specific news was the primary catalyst for the day's most notable stock movements. The market saw significant divergence as investors reacted to the latest financial results and outlooks from individual firms.
Among the top performers, Meta Platforms (META) shares climbed 6.42%, while chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) rose 3.13%. Other significant gainers included:
- Oddity Tech (ODD): Surged 28.25% following an earnings beat and an improved corporate outlook.
- Signet Jewelers (SIG): Jumped 20.89%, marking one of the day's largest advances.
- Pulse Biosciences (PLSE): Gained 14.37% after Freedom Capital initiated coverage on the stock with a buy rating.
AdGuidance and Earnings Weigh on Laggards
On the other end of the spectrum, weak corporate guidance sent several stocks sharply lower. ServiceTitan (TTAN) experienced a dramatic 30.07% decline after issuing a disappointing forecast alongside its mixed second-quarter results.
In a notable move, Casey's General Stores (CASY) dropped 15.07%. The decline came even though the company reported first-quarter earnings that beat analyst expectations, suggesting investors focused on other details in the report.
Other significant decliners included software company Braze (BRZE), which fell 20.31%, and The Bancorp (TBBK), which slid 20.96%. The large-cap communications sector also saw weakness, with Charter Communications (CHTR) and Comcast (CMCSA) falling 7.85% and 6.59%, respectively.
