Megaport Shares Surge After Announcing A$1 Billion in AI Deals, Upgrading Outlook

Summary
The network-as-a-service provider's stock jumped after it unveiled major new AI infrastructure contracts and significantly raised its fiscal 2027 financial guidance, citing strong demand.
Megaport (ASX:MP1) shares surged on Tuesday after the company announced it had signed new AI infrastructure deals worth nearly A$1 billion and issued a material upgrade to its long-term financial guidance. The network connectivity provider's stock climbed 13.9% to close at A$21.46, significantly outperforming the flat ASX 200 index.
AI Contracts and Guidance Upgrade
The rally was driven by the disclosure of three major agreements for GPU and CPU compute, network, and storage services, valued at approximately A$978.6 million in total. According to the company's announcement, the deals were secured through its Latitude.sh subsidiary and include two new customers and an expansion with an existing client.
Buoyed by this new business, Megaport raised its forecast for fiscal year 2027. The company now expects revenue to be in the range of A$720 million to A$810 million, a significant increase from its prior guidance of A$620 million to A$730 million. The target for its EBITDA margin was also lifted to a range of 42% to 44%.
Surging Growth Metrics
AdThe upgraded outlook is supported by accelerating growth in key business segments, particularly those tied to AI infrastructure. The company reported that its total Group Annualized Recurring Revenue (ARR) has now surpassed the $500 million mark for the first time.
Key performance indicators highlighted in the announcement include:
- Compute ARR: The segment, which includes Latitude.sh, has seen its ARR surge 90% since the end of June to reach $201.4 million.
- Network ARR: The core networking business grew 29% year-on-year on a constant currency basis to $302.6 million.
These figures underscore strong market demand for the company's high-performance computing and network-as-a-service offerings, which are critical for developing and deploying artificial intelligence applications. The substantial new contracts and rapid ARR growth provide investors with greater visibility into Megaport's future earnings potential.
