McKesson said it signed an agreement in principle to continue as a key distribution partner for CVS Health. The deal covers the supply of pharmaceuticals to CVS Health's retail pharmacies, mail-order and specialty pharmacies, and its distribution centers across the United States.
The extension solidifies a strategic relationship that has been in place for over 25 years. "We are pleased to extend our long-standing, strategic relationship with CVS Health and continue supporting their important role in serving patients and communities across the country," said Brian Tyler, chair and chief executive officer of McKesson, in a statement.
Financial Outlook Reaffirmed
AdIn conjunction with the announcement, McKesson reaffirmed its previously issued financial guidance, signaling confidence in its long-term operational and financial stability. The company's outlook includes:
- Fiscal year 2027 adjusted earnings per share guidance of $44.20 to $45.00.
- A long-term adjusted EPS growth rate target of 13% to 16%.
McKesson noted that it will provide further updates during its second-quarter fiscal 2027 earnings call, which is scheduled for November 4, 2026. The extension with a major client like CVS is a critical development for McKesson, securing a major revenue stream in the highly competitive healthcare services and distribution market.
