German industrial holding company MBB has raised its full-year profit margin forecast, citing a significant jump in second-quarter earnings. The upgraded outlook follows a preliminary report showing robust operational performance.

Second-Quarter Performance

According to preliminary results released Wednesday, MBB's adjusted EBITDA surged 62% year-over-year to €75 million for the second quarter. This strong earnings growth came on the back of a 4.6% increase in quarterly revenue, which reached €298.5 million.

For the first half of the year, the company's revenue remained nearly flat at €536 million, underscoring the improved profitability in the most recent quarter.

Based on the strong quarterly results, MBB lifted its full-year adjusted EBITDA margin forecast to a new range of 18% to 20%. This is a notable increase from the company's previous guidance of 15% to 18%.

While profitability expectations have improved, the company maintained its full-year revenue outlook, which remains unchanged at €1.1 billion to €1.2 billion.

Key Drivers

MBB attributed the robust second-quarter results primarily to the strong operating performance at its subsidiary Friedrich Vorwerk. The company also noted that additional EBITDA gains from its other units, including DTS, Delignit, and Hanke, contributed to the improved performance.
