Legend Biotech has appointed Alan Bash, the current President of its CARVYKTI Business Unit, as Interim Chief Executive Officer. The company stated that Huang will remain as an advisor through August to ensure a smooth transition. The Board of Directors has initiated a search process to identify a permanent successor.
In a company statement, Board Chairman Frank Zhang expressed confidence in Bash's ability to provide continuity, citing his commercial and operational experience. Huang led Legend Biotech for seven years, a period during which the company transitioned from a development-focused firm to a commercial-stage organization.
Bash stated his immediate focus will be on maintaining business continuity and executing the company's commercial, clinical, and operational priorities. According to the announcement, Huang said the company's strategy remains unchanged.
