JPMorgan Hires Healthcare M&A Banker David Blais From Guggenheim

JPMorgan Chase & Co. has hired senior healthcare investment banker David Blais from Guggenheim Securities to join its team as a managing director, according to people familiar with the matter. The move signals a strategic reinforcement of the bank's dealmaking capabilities in the lucrative healthcare services sector.
The Appointment
Blais, who specializes in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in healthcare services, is expected to join JPMorgan later this month, one of the sources said. In his new role, he will report to Jerry Lee and Nick Richitt, the bank's co-heads of healthcare investment banking.
The recruitment of a seasoned banker underscores the ongoing competition for top talent among Wall Street firms, particularly within high-activity sectors. By adding senior expertise, JPMorgan is positioning itself to advise on complex transactions for corporate and private equity clients.
AdA Return to JPMorgan
This appointment marks a return for Blais to the financial giant. He previously worked at JPMorgan between 2007 and 2010, according to his FINRA records.
Blais joins from Guggenheim Securities, where he has worked since August 2014, according to his LinkedIn profile. His career also includes a tenure as a director in the mergers and acquisitions group at Citigroup.
