JFrog Named Top Software Pick by TD Cowen on Strong Security Demand, AI Tailwinds

Investment bank TD Cowen has reaffirmed JFrog Ltd. (NASDAQ: FROG) as a top pick in the software sector, citing highly positive feedback from clients at the company's recent customer conference in New York City. The firm highlighted strong demand for JFrog's security products and its competitive positioning in artificial intelligence applications.
Customer Feedback Highlights Growth
According to a note from TD Cowen, conversations with JFrog customers at the event were described as "very bullish." The firm pointed to successful cross-selling of security solutions, which it believes are still in the early stages of their adoption curve. This suggests a significant runway for future growth.
Key feedback from several long-term, large-scale customers included:
- A mega-cap tech company with a seven-figure annual spend reported that its usage of JFrog's platform has increased due to AI development and expressed a desire for more security products like Curation.
- A large-cap internet company, also a seven-figure customer, noted that recent software supply chain attacks drove its adoption of JFrog's Curation product to replace a homegrown solution.
- An insurance firm and an oil and gas company, both major customers, reported rising usage and spending, with the latter already using Advanced Security and showing interest in Curation.
Strategic Focus on Security and AI
AdJFrog also used the conference to announce new product capabilities, reinforcing its strategic direction. The company unveiled new AppTrust features focused on "DevGovOps" (Development, Governance, and Operations) to help enterprises manage governance challenges, particularly in building AI factories. These features are designed to help clients meet emerging regulatory requirements like the EU Cyber Resilience Act and NIST SSDF.
Additionally, JFrog launched the JFrog Traffic Controller, a new solution for network-level package security. These developments align with TD Cowen's observation that the company holds competitive advantages in AI-related use cases and is effectively meeting enterprise security needs.
Broader Analyst Sentiment
The positive view from TD Cowen is echoed by other Wall Street firms. According to the report, analysts at DA Davidson, Stifel, and Truist Securities have also recently reiterated Buy ratings on JFrog stock. Morgan Stanley, meanwhile, raised its price target on the company.
