IQVIA plans to use the capital raised to refinance its debt structure and strengthen its balance sheet. The company stated the proceeds will be allocated for several purposes:

  • The full redemption of its existing 5.000% Senior Notes due in 2026.
  • The repayment of a portion of outstanding borrowings under its revolving credit facility.
  • Covering fees and expenses associated with the new note offering.

This type of refinancing is a common corporate strategy to extend debt maturities and manage interest obligations. The positive investor reaction suggests confidence in the company's financial management and its ability to secure long-term financing.
