Intertek Q3 Organic Growth Accelerates to 6.4%, Maintains Full-Year Outlook

Intertek Group (LSE: ITRK) on Wednesday announced that its organic revenue growth accelerated to 6.4% in the third quarter of 2026, a notable increase from the 4.4% growth posted in the second quarter. The company maintained its full-year financial outlook, signaling confidence in its overall business trajectory despite mixed performance across its divisions.
Reported revenue growth for the quarter was 7.0%, a slight moderation from the 8.0% recorded in the prior quarter.
Divisional Performance Highlights
Intertek's third-quarter results showed significant strength in several key areas, though its energy-focused segment faced headwinds. The performance breakdown on an organic revenue basis was as follows:
- Consumer Products: Grew 9.8%, a sharp acceleration from 4.3% in Q2.
- Industry and Infrastructure: Expanded by 9.2%, up significantly from 3.6% in the previous quarter.
- Health & Safety: Posted 7.5% growth, improving from 6.7% in Q2.
- Corporate Assurance: Slowed to 4.3% growth from 9.3% in the prior quarter.
- World of Energy: Contracted by 0.6%, reversing a 0.4% gain from Q2.
AdThis divisional performance prompted a mixed adjustment to full-year forecasts. The outlook for the Health & Safety division was raised to mid-single-digit growth from low-single-digit. Conversely, the forecast for the World of Energy division was lowered to stable like-for-like performance from a previous expectation of low-single-digit growth.
Outlook and Corporate Developments
Despite the varied results, Intertek reaffirmed its group-level guidance for the full year 2026. The company continues to expect mid-single-digit organic growth, along with margin progression and strong free cash flow. This suggests that management believes the strength in its larger divisions will offset the weakness in the energy sector.
In a separate corporate update, Intertek stated that its previously announced acquisition by EQT is progressing as planned. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026 or the first quarter of 2027.
