An affiliate of the controlling shareholder of Hangzhou Kelin Electric Co., Ltd. (SHA: 688611) plans to increase its stake in the company, signaling confidence in the firm's outlook. The plan involves purchasing shares valued at between RMB 25 million and RMB 50 million.
Details of the Purchase Plan
According to a company announcement, Hangzhou Guangyi Investment Management Partnership, an entity acting in concert with Hangzhou Kelin's actual controller, will conduct the share purchases over the next 12 months. The transactions will be executed on the open market through the Shanghai Stock Exchange's centralized bidding system.
The investment firm intends to use a combination of its own capital and a dedicated loan facility to fund the acquisitions. Such moves by insiders or their affiliates are often interpreted by investors as a positive signal about a company's valuation and future prospects.
