The most significant pressure on a mega-cap stock came after GLJ Research initiated coverage on GE Vernova (GEV) with a sell rating. According to a note cited by Investing.com, the firm expressed concerns about the business cycle, sending GEV shares down 8.32%.
Other major technology and industrial companies also faced headwinds. Semiconductor design firm Arm (ARM) fell 8.17%, while testing equipment manufacturer Kla-tencor Corp (KLAC) and electronics component maker Amphenol Corp (APH) declined 5.35% and 5.52%, respectively.

A clear trend emerged in the mid-cap and small-cap segments, where cybersecurity firms broadly outperformed. Several companies in the sector saw double-digit percentage increases:
