Fleetpartners Shares Surge as Takeover Bids Escalate to A$4.65

Shares in Fleetpartners Group Ltd (ASX:FPR) surged on Monday after an intensifying bidding war for the Australian vehicle management company pushed takeover offers as high as A$4.65 per share.
The stock closed up 11.4% at A$4.60, closely approaching its intraday high of A$4.64 and outperforming the broader ASX 200 index, which was flat.
Competing Offers Intensify
In a market update on Monday, Fleetpartners disclosed it had received three revised, non-binding proposals from competing suitors. The company confirmed the highest offers came from ORIX Corporation and a consortium led by Sumitomo, both at A$4.65 per share.
A third bidder, SG Fleet Topco, submitted a revised offer of A$4.55 per share. The competitive field has narrowed, as rival bidder Element Fleet Management has withdrawn from the process, reducing uncertainty around the acquisition contest.
AdDue Diligence Phase Advances
Fleetpartners announced it has granted all three remaining bidders—ORIX, the Sumitomo Consortium, and SG Fleet—access to a further phase of due diligence. This development signals that the board is seriously engaging with the suitors and the process is advancing toward a potential binding transaction.
The current offers represent a significant premium over the initial approach from SG Fleet in late July 2026, which the board rejected as inadequate at A$3.60 per share. The escalating bids reflect strong strategic interest in the global fleet consolidation sector, with analysts having previously anticipated offers would surpass the A$4.00 mark.
