EVE Energy Subsidiary Signs 206 GWh Battery Supply Agreement with Fluence

A subsidiary of Chinese battery manufacturer EVE Energy Co., Ltd. (300014.SZ) has signed a significant, multi-year supply agreement with U.S.-based energy storage solutions provider Fluence Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLNC). The deal secures a massive volume of battery capacity to meet the growing demand for energy storage systems globally.
Agreement Details
In a recent corporate filing, EVE Energy announced that its subsidiary, Hubei EVE Power Co., Ltd., will produce and deliver 206 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of battery products to Fluence between 2027 and 2031. The agreement builds upon the two companies' existing partnership.
The supply framework includes specific delivery commitments and reserved capacity:
- A committed delivery volume of 16 GWh is scheduled for 2027.
- A total of 190 GWh in production capacity has been reserved for Fluence from 2028 through 2031.
AdEVE Energy stated in its announcement that the fulfillment of this agreement is expected to have a positive impact on the company's future development.
Strategic Implications
For EVE Energy, this large-scale, long-term contract provides significant revenue visibility and solidifies its position as a key global supplier in the rapidly expanding battery energy storage system (BESS) market. Securing such a substantial order underscores the company's production capabilities and the quality of its products.
For Fluence, the agreement is a crucial strategic move to secure its battery cell supply chain for the latter half of the decade. As demand for grid-scale energy storage projects accelerates worldwide, locking in long-term capacity with major manufacturers like EVE helps mitigate supply risks and ensures Fluence can meet its project delivery commitments to customers.
