Draganfly Secures $10 Million Investment to Advance Defense Sector Expansion

Summary
Draganfly Inc. announced a $10 million strategic investment from Unusual Machines Inc. and a U.S. fund, aimed at accelerating its growth in the defense and international drone markets.
Draganfly Inc. (NASDAQ:DPRO) has secured a $10 million strategic investment from Unusual Machines Inc. (NYSE:UMAC) and a leading U.S. investment fund, the company announced Monday. The news sent Draganfly shares up 3.7% in premarket trading.
Investment Details
The funding consists of two $5 million contributions, one from Unusual Machines and the other from the unnamed fund. The transaction was structured as a registered direct offering for the purchase of 1,869,159 common shares.
The shares were priced at $5.35 each, based on the closing price from Friday, September 25, 2026. According to the announcement, the transaction is expected to close on or about September 29, 2026, pending customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Jett Capital Advisors and Northland Capital Markets acted as joint-lead placement agents for the offering.
Strategic Rationale
AdDraganfly stated the capital will be used to accelerate the development of advanced strategic capabilities and serve as general working capital to meet rising product demand. The investment supports the company's ongoing expansion into the U.S. defense sector and other international markets.
This funding arrives as the drone solutions developer notes increased commercial and defense activity in the U.S. and Canada, including recent procurement milestones with the Canadian Armed Forces. "This strategic investment... is about aligning capabilities that can best serve the industries' requirements at scale domestically and abroad," said Cameron Chell, CEO and Chairman of Draganfly.
Market Context
Draganfly develops and manufactures drone solutions and related technologies for a wide range of sectors. Its key markets include public safety, military and defense, agriculture, industrial inspection, and surveying. The new capital is expected to strengthen its competitive position as demand for unmanned aerial systems grows, particularly within government and defense applications.
