Aster Debuts Upgraded Grid Trading With 140,000 ASTER Liquidity Mining Program

Summary
The on-chain trading platform has launched Perpetual Grid 2.0, a tool for automated strategies, and is offering up to 140,000 $ASTER in rewards over four weeks to drive user adoption.
On-chain trading platform Aster announced Monday the launch of Perpetual Grid 2.0, an upgrade to its automated trading tools, alongside a four-week liquidity mining campaign designed to incentivize its use. The program features a total reward pool of up to 140,000 $ASTER for users engaging with the new grid strategies.
Campaign Details
The liquidity mining campaign runs from September 28 to October 25, 2026, according to the company's statement. It is open to all Aster users running Perpetual Grid strategies on designated trading pairs, with no separate registration required.
Key details of the incentive program include:
- A base reward pool of 10,000 $ASTER per epoch, with the potential for additional rewards based on platform trading activity.
- Rewards are distributed hourly and calculated based on an eligible grid's share of the total trading volume, including both maker and taker orders.
- Initial eligible pairs for the first week include OURA/USD1, POLYMARKET/USD1, and META/USD1, with more pairs potentially being added later.
Product Upgrade: Perpetual Grid 2.0
AdThe campaign coincides with the rollout of Perpetual Grid 2.0, which introduces significant structural changes for traders. The upgrade separates automated grid strategies from a user's standard manual trading by operating each grid through a dedicated subaccount.
This new architecture isolates the positions and margin of each automated strategy from the user's main perpetuals account. The system supports both Cross and Isolated Margin, with the latter allowing for up to 50 independent grid strategies per account. Aster also introduced a Grid Marketplace, where users can browse, copy, or reverse existing strategies created by others.
Strategic Context
The move is part of Aster's effort to provide more sophisticated tools for traders navigating volatile market conditions. "Perpetual Grid offers a flexible way to capture opportunities amid market volatility, and Grid 2.0 takes this experience further with greater flexibility and independence," said Leonard, CEO at Aster.
The launch aims to increase user adoption and trading volume for the platform's automated features. Aster, which is backed by YZi Labs, operates on its own Layer 1 blockchain, Aster Chain, and focuses on perpetual futures, spot trading, and yield products.
