Craneware announced that an unauthorized third party had gained access to a portion of its data environment. According to the company, an investigation has confirmed that a "significant volume of file names were viewed and exfiltrated."
The stolen data includes a percentage of Craneware employee information as well as a subset of records belonging to customers and partners. However, the company's current assessment is that a large portion of the affected data is either non-sensitive or consists of publicly available regulatory information.

Upon discovering the intrusion, Craneware said it activated its incident response plan and appointed external cybersecurity and forensic specialists to investigate. The company reported that the incident has been contained and that external experts found no remaining indicators of compromise in its systems.
Craneware assured investors that the attack has caused no disruption to its operations or customer services. The company has notified relevant authorities, including the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the US. The investigation to determine the precise nature and scope of the stolen data is ongoing, and Craneware stated it will notify affected parties as required by regulations.
