Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC:CORFICOLCF) rose 1.67%.
On the other side of the ledger, the operator of the stock exchange itself, Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC), was the session's worst performer, falling 3.04%. Other notable decliners included Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC:ISA), which dropped 2.43%, and food processing company Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NUTRESA), which was down 1.64%.

In commodities markets, prices were mixed. US coffee C futures for September delivery fell 0.40%, while US cocoa for September delivery declined 1.29%. In contrast, the August Gold Futures contract gained 1.58% to trade at $4,099.90 a troy ounce.
In currency markets, the USD/COP pair was little changed at 3,127.79. Meanwhile, the US Dollar Index Futures, which measures the greenback against a basket of major currencies, traded 0.91% lower at 99.82.
