Summary

Colombia's benchmark COLCAP index finished in negative territory on Wednesday, closing down 0.38% as broad-based selling pressure in key sectors offset gains in a handful of individual stocks.
Sector Weakness Drives Market Lower

Ad- Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogota SA Esp (BVC:ETB): Dropped 3.85% to close at 125.00.
- Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECOPETROL): The state-run oil company fell 1.95% to 2,765.00.
Pockets of Strength

It was followed by Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana Preferred (BVC:PFGRUPSURA), which added 1.00%, and Mineros SA (BVC:MINEROS), which gained 0.80%.
Currency and Commodity Snapshot
