Celestica Stock Jumps on Strong Q3 Earnings, Bold 2027 Revenue Target

Celestica Inc. (CLS) shares surged 12.3% during Tuesday's session after the AI infrastructure manufacturer reported third-quarter earnings that beat on all key metrics and revealed a long-term revenue target that significantly outpaced analyst forecasts. The stock's sharp rebound followed a recent sell-off that had left it in oversold territory.
Stellar Earnings and Ambitious Guidance
For the third quarter of 2026, Celestica reported revenue of $5.83 billion, an 83% increase year-over-year. The company also posted a record adjusted operating margin of 8.5% and adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $3.30, more than double the $1.58 reported in the same period a year earlier.
The most significant catalyst for the stock appeared to be its new 2027 financial targets. Management guided for 2027 revenue of $40.0 billion, well above the Wall Street consensus of $35.71 billion. The company also set a 2027 target for adjusted EPS of $21.50 and an adjusted operating margin of 9.0%.
For the current year, the company raised its 2026 revenue target to $21 billion and increased its adjusted earnings forecast to $11.55 per share.
Analyst View and Business Drivers
Robust demand for AI and data center infrastructure fueled the strong quarterly performance. The company’s Connectivity & Cloud Solutions (CCS) business saw revenues increase 102% year-over-year, while its Hardware Platform Solutions (HPS) segment reported a 70% revenue climb.
AdIn response to the report, analysts at TD Cowen maintained a Buy rating on Celestica with a $430 price target, highlighting the company's pattern of beating estimates and raising guidance. The firm noted that the 2027 forecast exceeded Wall Street's expectations.
Celestica also noted a recently completed $3.45 billion equity raise to support $1.5 billion to $2 billion in AI-focused capital expenditure, and a planned new share buyback program signals management's confidence.
Market Context
Investors largely focused on the decisive earnings beat and the impressive long-term growth outlook, shrugging off one negative point in the report. The company cut its 2026 free cash flow outlook to $460 million from a previous $600 million, citing higher working-capital needs to support its expansion.
The stock's strong reaction was amplified by its recent performance. Shares had fallen for three straight sessions, closing Monday about 37% below an early-October peak, leaving the stock's valuation compressed ahead of the earnings release.
