Background

Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit reported that its Private Wealth Management (PWM) Bitcoin fund products generated a comprehensive 4.9% annualized return over the past 60 days. The announcement highlights the firm's efforts to provide yield-generating opportunities for large-scale Bitcoin holders amid market volatility.

Fund Performance Details

According to a statement released by Bybit, some of its individual BTC funds delivered 30-day annualized percentage rates exceeding 40%. The PWM products are structured as BTC-invested and BTC-settled funds, allowing investors to earn returns in Bitcoin without converting their holdings to other assets.

"The central question is often not whether to sell BTC for short-term liquidity, but how to keep BTC working while remaining exposed to the asset itself," said Jerry Li, Head of Earn and Wealth Management at Bybit. He noted that the products are designed for investors navigating periods of price fluctuation while aiming to accumulate more of the asset.

Launched in September 2025, Bybit's PWM division now manages over $239 million in assets across more than 160 portfolios. The PWM products have a minimum subscription of 10 BTC, positioning them for high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients.

Expanded Suite of BTC Yield Products

Alongside the performance update, Bybit detailed a tiered range of BTC yield offerings designed to cater to different investor profiles and risk appetites. This expansion aims to provide a comprehensive toolkit for various types of Bitcoin holders.

  • On-Chain Earn: An entry-level product for users seeking a straightforward way to stake BTC for yield while maintaining their exposure.
  • Private Wealth Management (PWM): The fund structure tailored for larger holdings, offering both BTC-denominated strategies and USDT-denominated options with returns that can be converted to BTC.
  • Advanced Earn: A category of structured products for more sophisticated investors, including Dual Asset and Discount Buy, which offer potentially higher yields with more complex mechanics.

This strategic diversification reflects a growing trend among crypto platforms to develop more sophisticated financial instruments. By offering solutions that range from simple staking to complex fund structures, Bybit aims to capture and retain capital from a broad spectrum of the market, from retail holders to institutional-level investors.
