Background

Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit reported its Private Wealth Management (PWM) Bitcoin fund products achieved a comprehensive annualized return of approximately 4.9% over the last 60 days. The announcement comes as the exchange broadens its offerings for clients seeking to generate yield on their Bitcoin holdings.

Performance and Strategy

According to a company statement on July 9, 2026, select individual funds within its PWM offering delivered 30-day annualized percentage rates exceeding 40%. The products are structured as BTC-invested and BTC-settled funds, designed to allow investors to earn returns in Bitcoin without selling their underlying assets.

This strategy aims to address a key concern for long-term holders during periods of market volatility. "The central question is often not whether to sell BTC for short-term liquidity, but how to keep BTC working while remaining exposed to the asset itself," said Jerry Li, Head of Earn and Wealth Management at Bybit.

Targeting High-Net-Worth Clients

Bybit's PWM service, which launched in September 2025, is explicitly geared toward clients with significant crypto holdings. The products have a minimum subscription of 10 BTC, positioning them for high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors.

The firm reported that its PWM division now manages over $239 million in assets across more than 160 portfolios. In June 2026, Bybit launched PWM 2.0, an update aimed at expanding direct dashboard access and customization for eligible users.

A Tiered Product Suite

Beyond its high-end PWM service, Bybit has developed a wider range of products to cater to different investor profiles and risk appetites. The exchange highlighted a tiered approach to its Bitcoin yield offerings:

  • On-Chain Earn: An entry-level product for users to stake BTC for a basic yield while maintaining their exposure.
  • Private Wealth Management (PWM): The fund-based allocation solution for larger holdings, with some funds also accessible via USDT.
  • Advanced Earn: Structured products, such as Dual Asset and Discount Buy, designed for more sophisticated investors seeking advanced yield strategies.
