Background

Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit announced Tuesday that its Private Wealth Management (PWM) Bitcoin funds generated a comprehensive annualized return of approximately 4.9% over the past 60 days. The performance figures come as the firm expands its offerings for investors seeking to earn yield on their Bitcoin holdings amid market volatility.

Performance and Product Details

According to a company statement, select individual funds within the PWM offering delivered 30-day annualized percentage rates exceeding 40%. The products are structured as BTC-invested and BTC-settled funds, allowing investors to earn returns directly in Bitcoin while maintaining their exposure to the asset's price movements.

The PWM service is geared toward high-net-worth clients, with a current minimum investment requirement of 10 BTC. Bybit noted that some funds also permit subscriptions using USDT, providing flexibility for investors to convert their returns into Bitcoin over time.

Strategic Context

The product expansion targets investors looking to optimize their holdings during periods of market consolidation. "BTC continues to trade well below its previous highs... leaving many BTC holders weighing how to manage their holdings through a period of volatility," said Jerry Li, Head of Earn and Wealth Management at Bybit, in the announcement.

Li explained that the firm's BTC-denominated products are designed to address the question of "how to keep BTC working while remaining exposed to the asset itself," offering an alternative to selling for short-term liquidity.

Broader Yield Offerings

The PWM funds are part of a wider suite of BTC yield products from Bybit, tailored to different investor profiles. The company's offerings include:

  • On-Chain Earn: An entry-level staking product for users seeking a basic yield solution.
  • Advanced Earn: Structured products like Dual Asset and Discount Buy, aimed at investors with a higher risk appetite seeking more advanced investment mechanics.

Bybit's PWM division, launched in September 2025, now manages over $239 million in assets across more than 160 portfolios, according to the firm. The platform was updated to PWM 2.0 in June 2026 to expand access for eligible users.
