Bybit, which ranks as the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has launched its virtual debit card in Peru. The move allows Peruvian users to spend funds directly from their digital asset accounts at merchants that accept major card payments, bridging the gap between crypto holdings and everyday commerce.

Launch Details and User Incentives

According to a company announcement on July 2, 2026, the launch is accompanied by a promotional offer for new cardholders in Peru. The welcome package, valued at up to 120 USDT, is designed to encourage adoption and initial use.

New users who complete identity verification and deposit a minimum of 100 USDT equivalent can access the following rewards:

  • A 10 USDT airdrop after their first qualifying deposit.
  • A special 10% cashback rate on certain lifestyle purchases during the first 30 days, capped at 110 USDT.

Bybit stated that terms and conditions apply to all promotional offers and rebates.

The Bybit Card is a virtual-only product with no issuance or annual fees, though foreign exchange fees may apply to certain transactions. It offers dual-currency functionality, allowing users to spend in both Peruvian Soles (PEN) for domestic purchases and U.S. Dollars (USD) for international transactions.

Key features highlighted by the company include tiered cashback rewards ranging from 2% to 10% on eligible purchases and full rebates on select digital subscriptions, such as Netflix and Spotify. The card draws directly from a user's Bybit funding account balance.

Strategic Expansion in Latin America

This launch represents a key part of Bybit's strategy to expand its financial services across emerging markets in Latin America. The company cited Peru's young, mobile-first population and its growing adoption of digital payments as key factors in its decision.

"With the Bybit Card, Peruvians can spend PEN at home and spend USD anywhere when they explore the world, without friction," said Patricio Mesri, Country Manager for Spanish-speaking Latin America at Bybit. The company noted that over 3 million users globally already use its card services.
