BTSE Group Enters Indonesian Market with Launch of Regulated Crypto Exchange

Summary
Global blockchain technology firm BTSE Group has announced the launch of BTSE Indonesia, a regulated digital asset exchange, through a joint venture with PT Aset Kripto Internasional. The move marks the company's entry into one of Asia's most rapidly expanding cryptocurrency markets.
Global blockchain technology company BTSE Group has officially launched BTSE Indonesia, a regulated digital and crypto asset exchange. The launch is the result of a joint venture with PT Aset Kripto Internasional and follows the rebranding of NVX, an existing Indonesian digital asset platform.
Under the joint venture, BTSE Group will supply the trading infrastructure, liquidity, and technology for the platform. Its local partner, PT Aset Kripto Internasional, will manage user acquisition, marketing, and sales, leveraging its knowledge of the Indonesian market.
BTSE Indonesia has secured a license from the Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK), permitting it to operate as a regulated Digital Financial Assets and Crypto Assets Trading Operator. This regulatory approval allows the exchange to offer Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) deposit and withdrawal services, provide IDR-denominated trading pairs, and collaborate with local banks and payment gateways.
AdCompany executives highlighted the strategic importance of the move. "Indonesia has everything it takes to be Asia’s next major crypto hub," said Jeff Mei, Chief Operating Officer of BTSE Group, citing the country's population, demand, and regulatory framework. Stephanie Kusnadi, Chief Strategy Officer of BTSE Indonesia, added that the venture combines global standards with local expertise.
The platform's licensed status provides users with assurances regarding customer asset protection and compliance with anti-money laundering regulations. According to the announcement, it also positions BTSE Indonesia to potentially expand its product offerings in the future, including services like futures trading, in accordance with local guidelines.
