Booz Allen Hamilton Secures $85 Million Air Force Research Contract

Summary
The consulting firm has been awarded a 10-year, indefinite-delivery contract by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory to develop advanced design methods for aerospace systems.
Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) has won a contract from the U.S. Air Force with a maximum value of $85 million for research and development related to advanced aerospace systems. The 10-year agreement solidifies the company's role as a key technology partner for the Department of Defense.
Scope of the Agreement
The contract is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) agreement, which provides a long-term framework for issuing task orders. Under the terms, Booz Allen will provide research to advance vehicle system design, thermal management systems, and digital system-level, mission-driven design methods for aerospace platforms.
This type of contract offers a long-term revenue pipeline for the company, though the total value is dependent on specific work orders issued over the life of the agreement. The work is set to be performed in Dayton, Ohio, and the contract runs through September 22, 2036.
AdAward and Funding Details
The Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, awarded the contract following a competitive bidding process that attracted eight offers. According to the announcement, no funds were obligated at the time of the basic contract award.
However, the first task order under the agreement has been initiated with an incremental funding of $75,000 from fiscal 2026 research and development funds. This initial funding allows work to commence on the project's primary objectives.
