Beldex Commits $1 Million to Fund Privacy-Focused Blockchain Development

Privacy-focused blockchain ecosystem Beldex has announced the launch of a $1 million grants program to support developers building privacy-preserving applications, infrastructure, and tools on its network. The initiative marks a strategic move to open its platform to external builders and foster a broader community of privacy-focused development.

Program Details and Objectives

The Beldex Grants Program is designed to attract developers, startups, and teams globally to build on or integrate with the Beldex network. The core requirement is that privacy must be a fundamental component of the project's architecture or user experience. This initiative represents a significant expansion of Beldex's strategy, which has historically focused on in-house development of products like the BChat messenger and BelNet dVPN.

"Beldex has spent years building privacy infrastructure and products. The next phase is about opening that foundation to developers and growing an ecosystem beyond what Beldex builds itself," said Cris Blanco, Chief Strategy Officer at Beldex, in a statement. "The Grants Program is about giving builders the infrastructure, support and capital to take those ideas from concept to production."

Funding Structure and Eligibility

Unlike programs with fixed application cycles, Beldex will accept proposals on a rolling basis, with decisions based on project readiness. Funding is not allocated in fixed amounts but is tailored to the scope and complexity of each proposal. The program emphasizes accountability, with funds released in stages tied to the completion of verifiable milestones.

Eligible project categories include:

• Privacy-Preserving Applications: Solutions for private payments, identity, communications, and networking.
• Infrastructure & Tooling: Protocol contributions, SDK development, and research to enhance the Beldex privacy stack.
• Integration & Interoperability: Wallet integrations and layers connecting Beldex to external ecosystems.

Developer Support and Launch

In addition to capital, successful applicants will receive technical guidance, access to developer documentation and SDKs, and integration support. The program will be formally introduced at Korea Blockchain Week 2026 in Seoul, with applications opening through the official Beldex Grants Portal. According to the announcement, proposals will be reviewed as they are submitted while program funds remain available.
