AdDespite the broader market decline, a few blue-chip companies bucked the trend. Brewer Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR:ABI) was the session's top gainer on the index, rising 1.28% to €68.30.
Other notable advancers included Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR:AZE), which added 1.21%, and Lotus Bakeries (EBR:LOTB), which gained 0.65%.

In the wider commodities market, energy prices rallied significantly, with Crude Oil futures for November delivery rising 4.89% to $96.67 a barrel. In contrast, December Gold Futures traded 0.60% lower.
In foreign exchange markets, the EUR/USD pair was nearly flat, while the US Dollar Index Futures, which measures the greenback against a basket of currencies, advanced 0.21%.
