Autheo Launches Mainnet for 'Internet Operating System' to Unify Web, Blockchain, and AI

The company states its goal is to address the fragmentation between different technology ecosystems. Instead of relying on bridges to pass messages between siloed systems, Autheo is designed as a shared substrate. It exposes common operating system functions—such as identity, messaging, and execution—as open services that can be called by any application, protocol, or agent, regardless of its native environment.
A key feature of the platform is its focus on post-quantum security. Autheo is built with a quantum-resistant identity and communications framework, PQCNet, which utilizes cryptographic standards recently finalized by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The system's architecture combines a sovereign Cosmos SDK Layer 0 for interoperability and an EVM-compatible Layer 1, allowing developers to deploy smart contracts using the popular Solidity programming language.
AdFounded in 2021 by Todd Mortenson and Scott Bayless, Autheo's development involved a contributor base of approximately 100 people across 25 countries. The project has undergone independent security audits for its testnet and mainnet by firms Halborn and CertiK, respectively. The company has also established partnerships with infrastructure and security providers including Zeeve, InfStones, and TrustSwap.
With the mainnet now live, Autheo's immediate focus is on expanding its partnerships and supporting developers building on the platform. The network's native token, THEO, is anticipated to become available on select platforms in early July 2026. The company plans to release a dedicated builder portal to provide resources and token allocations for projects deploying on its network.
