Australian S&P/ASX 200 Gains on Strength in Resources and Gold Sectors

Summary
Australia's benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index closed up 0.28%, lifted by gains in the energy, resources, and gold mining sectors despite a mixed session where declining stocks slightly outnumbered advancers.
Australia's benchmark stock index finished higher on Wednesday, buoyed by strength in commodity-related sectors. The S&P/ASX 200 added 0.28% by the close of trade in Sydney, with gains in energy, resources, and gold stocks leading the session.
Session in Review

Standout Performers
The session's top performers on the benchmark index included:
Ad- Codan Ltd (ASX:CDA), which surged 6.85%
- Centuria Capital Ltd (ASX:CNI), adding 3.73%
- Zip Co Ltd (ASX:ZIP), which climbed 3.72%
On the other end of the spectrum, the biggest decliners were Life360 Inc (ASX:360), which dropped 5.31%; James Hardie Industries PLC (ASX:JHX), down 4.88%; and Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX:TLX), which fell 4.85%.
